What a weekend it was!  Kito and I spent the last few days in Washington D.C. celebrating a family wedding.  We had a fabulous time seeing the city, relaxing, eating and catching up with old friends and relatives.  Our plane touched down in Seattle late last night where we were greeted with cold temperatures matching what we left behind on the east coast…thankfully, sans snow.

Already, I am back at work ready to take on my new position in a crash-course fashion (more on that later).  Hopefully, I will get caught up on all the things in the next few days but it really depends on how work goes.  My goals this week are to work as hard as I can, take things as they come and breathe.  While the weekend went by far too fast and I wish I could have stayed for weeks, I am happy to be home and embarking on new challenges.

I wrote some blog posts while I was gone but the internet at the hotel was really spotty so the photo uploads and publishing did not go smoothly.  We’ll get to that.

2013 has been really good to me and I feel endlessly thankful.  It was nice to punctuate all of the travel I have done in the last 12 months with a trip back to D.C. to see family and show Kito as much of the city as I could.  Honestly, I had forgotten how much I love it there.  I think we’ll have to get out there again soon.

Alright friends, that’s all I have.  Happy Tuesday!
